Herbert W. Armstrong College is a
privately supported co-educational institution offering courses in theology,
liberal arts, applied arts and sciences. The school offers two- and four-
year scholastic curriculums. The College does not offer accredited associates
and bachelors degrees. Transfer of credits from Herbert W. Armstrong College
to other institutions is at the discretion of the receiving institution.
Through its curriculum, extracurricular activities and work program, it strives
to prepare students for worthwhile service to God and humanity.
Education With Vision
Though Herbert W. Armstrong College is still small and newly established, it is not
without deep historical roots. In 1947, Herbert W. Armstrong established Ambassador
College at Pasadena, California. God's Work at that time desperately needed an
institution of higher learning to help prepare ministers and others for the personnel
needs of the Church.
At its height, Ambassador College had three separate campuses. The two sister campuses
were located in Big Sandy, Texas, and Bricket Wood, England.
After he died, the church Mr. Armstrong founded repudiated his teachings and the
legacies that he left behind. All three Ambassador College campuses are now defunct.
Today, there is a tremendous need for another institution to fill the void. In
establishing Ambassador College, Mr. Armstrong pioneered the way in teaching young
people the missing dimension in education. This institution embodies Herbert W. Armstrong's
educational philosophy.
Community Outreach
One aim of the college is to support the arts by giving monumental
cultural
experiences to the area. The college also reaches out to the
community through special performances by the
Young Ambassadors.
