Congratulations freshmen!
Graduation recognizes the achievements of two-year graduates and four-year graduates. Prior to commencement exercises, graduating students and their families share a traditional graduation brunch with faculty members at the John Amos Field House, hosted by the freshman and junior classes. Afternoon commencement exercises include an address by the student body president, music by the college’s choral union and the Armstrong Youth Orchestra, a commencement address by the chancellor, dean of students or president of the college, one or more Armstrong Awards recognizing achievements by senior(s), and the conferring of the two-year and four-year diplomas.
At graduation ball, two-year and four-year students are honored by students and faculty prior to commencement. Hosted by the freshman and junior classes at John Amos Field House, the event typically includes introduction of the sophomores and seniors, a retrospective slideshow, toasts by the college student body president, dean of students and assistant dean of students, food and dancing. This year, four-year alumni from 2018 onwards are also invited to attend the ball.
